Owen Otto-Lorem Ipsum

Download from Owen’s blog:

It’s kind of painful to think that Owen Otto will probably never be super duper famous. There’s so much talent in this one man. I don’t think he has any plans to become a superstar now, he has kids and a wife. Still, “Lorem Ipsum” should get more attention. It’s one of the freshest albums I’ve heard. I hate the genre is indie because honestly it’s like nothing I’ve ever heard. Owen plays acoustic guitar and mixes in synths. The result is a relaxing album that’s not at all ambient, but also not Indie-anything. Seriously, someone get this man famous.

Pop, Alternative

Oppenheimer is a band made up of two gents from Northern Ireland. They describe themselves as “Perfect Pop Music” and that is a dead on defintion. The band features guitar, synth, drums, and no more(when playing live, however, airhorn solos may occur). What’s nice about Oppenheimer is the versatility in their songs, one may be more energized while another may be soft and sweet. Not to mention, every song is a blast of a catchy melody that will make you start to sing aloud. They are led by lucious vocals then backed by a loud vocorder. The result is phenomenal, and definitely deserves a look. Just some back info regarding how I found these guys: I saw them open for They Might Be Giants last year around this time. Very loud for not being able to use the entire PA, especially when the cymbal and snare were struck.

And woot, first post. Let’s hope all goes well.
